Couples, Polyamorous, and Open Relationship Therapy: The world of romance is an ever-expanding realm. With it, comes more possibilities. No matter your relational structure, we will exercise important relational muscles including: communication, connection, security vs freedom, play, desire, and creativity. We will bring to light the expectations we hold for boundaries and roles.

Teen and Youth Gender and Sexual Diversity Therapy: According to the Trevor Project, 48% of LGBTQ+ youth considered committing suicide last year; however these studies show that having even just one accepting adult in their lives can reduce that number by 40%. This statistic highlights the importance of strong, supportive relationships - and thereby therapeutic support in cultivating such relationships. Sometimes teens need an advocate, separate from parents to help them explore their identity, but if it is possible, I prefer to help strengthen the parent-child relationship by providing support and education to parents as well as counseling to the teen.

Individual Gender and Sexual Identity Exploration: Concepts of gender and sexuality are ever-expanding. I have learned the critical importance of living into one's unique self. The restriction to do so is the root of many mental illnesses. It causes us to lead lives incongruent with who we truly are. The subconscious, then pokes at us, creating symptoms that manifest as mental illness. The boxes society provides are not one-size-fits-all, and almost no box fits exactly right. We will explore your identity as if you are your own piece of art. I can't wait to see who emmerges!

If you are looking for individual or relational LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, schedule an appointment today.
