Cost: $150 for a 1.5 hour assessment appointment. This is far more cost effective than other options because I only do ADHD assessment. I'm not in high demand for other assessments so I can afford to provide you with quick, cost-effective care.
Your appointment includes multiple ADHD assessment measures. It is recommended that you bring someone who knows you well to this assessment so that they can share a different perspective of your experience. I will do my best to rule out other potential diagnoses related to the symptoms, as well as provide you with a comprehensive list of any co-occurring potential diagnoses that could be impacting you.
I am not a psychiatrist or a doctor. I cannot write your prescription. You will need to coordinate with your primary care physician for your prescriptions. If you live in the Grand Junction area, you know how long it can take to get into a psychiatrist who can assess and diagnose you. Because I only provide ADHD diagnosis and assessment, I do not have a waitlist, and you can get in sooner. It is also less expensive as psychiatric care is often billed at a higher rate.
As an ADHD clinical services provider and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I can diagnose and treat ADHD - but there may be some diagnoses I am not qualified to assess, diagnose, or treat.
I do not currently assess and diagnose minors. While I plan to pursue more training in this area, I am currently more experienced in adult late-diagnosed ADHD. If you would like me to notify you when I will be starting to see minors, please complete my contacts form here.
I currently accept insurance for: Cigna, Aetna, Anthem and Blue Cross plans. Whether you decide to use insurance or not, I can assure you that this will be one of the most affordable ways for you to be assessed and diagnosed for ADHD.
I offer Telehealth assessments for anyone in the state of Colorado, and in-person for those who live on or near the West Slope. Whether you live here in Grand Junction, or the front range, I can help! You don't have to live locally to get support. And if you do live locally, but prefer Telehealth appointments, that's fine too!
I have availability weekly. You do not have to wait months or even weeks to get in with me because I reserve time in my schedule just for diagnosis and assessment. You could be finding out if you have ADHD in just a few days. When I say quick, I mean quick. Quick cost-effective ADHD Assessment on the Western Slope, Grand Junction, and all of Colorado is here at your fingertips!
Counseling is optional. ADHD isn't curable, but it is highly treatable. I have found that traditional counseling is not the best treatment for ADHD. If you have been living with ADHD your whole life the most important thing now is to get educated about it. I can connect you with a lot of great resources if you would like, but it will be up to you to decide how this information guides you to live your life moving forward. Possibly more effective than traditional therapy alone, there are core social and behavioral adjustments that can increase your effectiveness as a person with ADHD such as: regular exercise, a brain supporting diet, making ADHD friends, work/school accommodations, mindfulness practices, etc. I am happy to support you whatever your personal needs are. I provide ADHD relational support, education, counseling, and assessment only options.
Future adult ADHD groups coming soon! As soon as I get enough people who are interested in forming groups of 5-10 people, I hope to provide adult ADHD social groups. These will be different than group therapy. It is my hope that you will be able to connect with individuals, such as yourself, who didn't know they had ADHD. It is an exhilarating experience to share how your mind works with other people who get it! Plus I think you're going to find that you "click" best with other people with ADHD. If you are interested in such groups, please complete my contacts form, and I will be sure to contact you when the first groups are formed.
